Obituary of Philip M. Maglione

Philip M. Maglione, 64, of New Brighton, passed away suddenly on December 27, 2023, at home. He was the beloved husband of Karen Castronovo; loving father of PJ Maglione and the late Cara Maglione; cherished grandfather of Cooper Maglione and Jack Maglion-e. He was also survived by many loving sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, nieces and nephews and cousins. Mr. Maglione was born and raised in New Brighton and was graduated from Moore High School. He served for 20 years with the NYPD, retiring in 2002. He bartended for a very long time at at the RoadHouse, where he was known by "Philly RoadHouse." Philip was passionate about cooking and known for his Italian specialties, some of which being his Sunday and crab sauces, riceballs, meatballs. He was an avid sports fan and rooted for the Yankees, NY Giants and Rangers. Philip loved going to the games with his wife Karen. Philip loved spending time with his family. Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Saturday, departing at 9:00 am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Good Counsel R.C. Church at 9:45 am. Interment to follow in St. Peter's Cemetery. Family and friends may visit on Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm.
