Obituary of Anita C. Hunter
In loving memory of Anita (nee Belluscio), cherished mother to John (spouse Maria), Gerard (spouse Catherine), David (spouse Joanne), Anne-Marie and grandmother to Jacquelyn, Amanda, Kyle and Gabriel.
Born November 10, 1935, in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Lucia and Pasquale Belluscio. Beloved sister of the late Rose Sponza and Victor Belluscio. Anita, at the age of 88, left behind a legacy woven with love and cherished moments.
Anita found profound joy in the laughter and milestones of her four grandchildren, Jacquelyn, Amanda, Kyle and Gabriel and as a Great Great Aunt to Calvin.
Her strong will, sharp mind, kindness and boundless heart were the hallmarks of her character. A dedicated worker for 40 years at the Arthur B. Levine Company.
She enjoyed Facebook, it kept her in touch with her family and friends. A master at growing orchids, solver of crosswords puzzles and solitaire. She loved sports and most of all was an avid New York Rangers fan and watched every game.
May Anita's memory be of comfort and inspiration, a testament to a life well-lived and a love that transcends time, touching the lives of her family and friends.
Family and friends may visit at Matthew Funeral Home, 2508 Victory Blvd., Staten Island, NY 10314 on Thursday, February 1st 6:00 to 9:00 PM and on Friday, February 2nd 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. On Saturday, February 3rd a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Pity RC Church, 1616 Richmond Avenue, Staten Island, NY at 10:00 AM. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
