Antoinette G. Davis – Native Staten Islander
Antoinette was born on November 14, 1924, to John and Marguerite Carey. She attended St. Mary's of Assumption Church and grammar school. In her early years she loved to swim at Faber pool during the summer days. Port Richmond was home as she had many friends there. She graduated from Port Richmond High School. There she met her future husband, Vincent. They lived in many places on Staten Island, but eventually settled in Westerleigh. She had two children, Timothy (Susan) and Janice (Geri) Geary.
Ann belonged to the Sweet Adeline's singing group. She loved to dance and swim at the Broadway YMCA. Ann enjoyed going to meetings at the Rosary Altar Society at Holy Family Church. She was a parishioner at Holy Family since its opening in 1973. In her later years, she enjoyed swimming at Chatham, Cape Cod, Massachusetts, and Eagle Lake in the Poconos.
Besides her children, Ann has also left behind two granddaughters, Judy Schaming and Mary Stoopman, along with five great grandchildren.
Funeral departing the Matthew Funeral Home 2508 Victory Boulevard on Wednesday March 20th at 10:00AM. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Family RC Church at 10:30AM. Family and friends may visit on Tuesday March 19th from 2-8PM.
