Obituary of Bernadette Bevan

Bernadette Bevan, 86 of Westerleigh, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on March 27, 2024.  She was the beloved wife to Stanley Bevan, loving mother to Eleanor Iannelli and her husband John, Frances Picciallo and her husband Antonio, Diane Loughery and her husband Jeffrey. The proud grandmother to ten grandchildren and three great granddaughters.  

Bernadette was born in Staten Island. She was a graduate of Port Richmond high school. She worked at Irving trust in NYC before having children. Bernadette loved getting involved in everything. When she gave birth to twins, she naturally joined the Twins Mothers Club. She worked for many years at the JCC and the College of Staten Island. She and her husband and children traveled the entire East Coast in an RV. Bernadette and Stanley were avid Square dancers and , of course, got involved on the board. She was a proud member of the YMCA at which she was very involved and loved very much. She enjoyed her family and will be remembered for beautiful Christmas and Easter celebrations. Holidays were the best at Grandmas.
