I was proud to call Patty my colleague and friend at American Express. I spoke with her virtually every day that she was in the office. She was one of the people who brightened my day- no matter how challenging things were, I could always count on Patty for her lovely smile, her dedication to Amex, her warmth and her kind friendship. Her days weren’t always easy but she never complained, and she was the most loyal of friends. I worked with a lot of wonderful people at Amex, but Patty was one of a kind. I will never forget her. My heart goes out to her beloved husband Al, whom she adored. Everyone who knew Patty feels a great sense of loss at her passing but also a great feeling of gratitude to have been lucky enough to have known her. Patty-cakes, My most endearing friend. You had a way of connecting with everyone on so many levels, always showing interest, and always knowing exactly what was going on, with friends, neighbors, cousins, coworkers -- all became family. I'll always remember "thank you, and have a nice day!" I will miss you, your calls on Christmas, and will be sure to kiss the kids, like you asked every year.
