Obituary of Benedetto Sciascia

Benedetto Sciascia, 82, passed away peacefully on April 13, 2024.

 He was the beloved husband of Catherine Sciascia. He was the loving father of Frances, John, & Angela, and father-in-law of Michael. He was adored by his 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Benedetto was born in Italy in 1941. He worked as a banker and bank manager for 40 years. He loved horse racing, bowling, and his favorite teams were the Mets and Giants.

Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Tuesday, 4/16, departing at 8:30 am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Charles R.C. Church at 9:15 am. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to visit on Monday, 4/15, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm.
