Obituary of John Toledo

John Toledo passed away peacefully on April 16, 2024 after a courageous battle with heart and kidney disease. He was born in 1943 to Juan and Carmen Toledo in Arecibo, Puerto Rico and at just five years old, John and his family moved to Brooklyn. As he continued to do throughout his life, John met every challenge head-on and quickly adapted to his new surroundings. His determination eventually fueled his entrepreneurship which led him to own and operate a successful television repair business for many years.

It's no coincidence that one of John’s favorite songs was Frank Sinatra’s “My Way,” as he admirably lived his life on his own terms. John was best known for his sense of humor and carefree nature which are qualities that will be missed by his children Melissa, Jonathan, Christopher, and Daniel, stepdaughter Denise, and seven grandchildren.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Saturday April 20, 2024 at Matthew Funeral Home located at 2508 Victory Blvd, Staten Island NY 10314 from 2:00 to 6:00 PM with a Service at the funeral home at 5:00 PM.
