Obituary of Deborah L. Cosentino

Debbie Cosentino (nee Attanasi), age 71, passed away on April 30, 2024. She was the daughter of the late Louis and Louise Attanasi. She was the sister of Louis Attanasi (Karen) and Paula Attanasi and the late Ralph Attanasi. She was the aunt of Michael (Alyssa) and Brendan (Kelsey). She was the great aunt of Adam. She is also survived by many loving cousins. Debbie was a native Staten Islander and was a graduate of Wagner College and Columbia University with multiple degrees in Humanities. She was a Psychotherapist before moving to Florida in 2000. Debbie was the first woman in the North Shore Rotary. She was a NYC Marathon runner. Debbie had a kind heart and generous spirit. She loved classical music, Frank Sinatra and the Doors. She was also an avid reader. She enjoyed hosting family gatherings and was always the life of the party at any social event. Debbie will be dearly missed by those who knew her. Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 2508 Victory Blvd., on Saturday, 5/18/2024, departing at 9:15 AM. Memorial Mass will be celebrated in Our Lady of Good Counsel R.C. Church at 10:00 AM. Burial of cremains to follow at St. Peter's Cemetery. Family and friends may visit on Friday, 5/17/2024, from 3:00 to 5:00 PM and 7:00 to 9:00 PM.
