I'm very sorry for your loss Father Peter. Just knowing how caring and loving you are at our church I can see where you got that from. You're like a brother to me and a father to many in our church literally and spiritually. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.
Love,

It is with both sadness and fondness that we remember our dear landlord and friend, Dionisios Zougras. Affectionately known to us as "Dennis" or "Danis," he had a special way of making us feel valued. I always felt particularly cherished when he greeted me with a kiss on the cheek and a warm smile.
Danis was a true family man, always sharing stories of his lovely wife, Betty, and his large, affectionate family. He often spoke of his trips to Greece and Florida with such joy, sharing stories that highlighted how deeply he cherished his time with family. These stories were a testament to how important family was to him, and they served as a reminder of the value of these special moments.
Danis was fueled with boundless energy and a spirited approach to life. His relentless dedication to maintaining our apartments in the most economical way often led to memorable moments, from creative fixes to ambitious repairs. His determination was as fierce as it was endearing. Danis’ spirited debates with Mohamed about politics and history felt less like tenant discussions and more like heartwarming chats with a favorite uncle, full of warmth, affection, and a touch of strong opinions.
Over the nearly 20 years we were his tenants, Danis became more than just a landlord; he became family. His presence in our lives went beyond the typical landlord-tenant relationship, and he will be deeply missed. His legacy of love, laughter, and a few good-natured arguments will continue to bring smiles to our faces.
To Betty, his children, grandchildren, extended family, and friends, we extend our deepest condolences and all our love. May the joy and warmth Danis brought into our lives be a comfort to you in this time of sorrow. Rest in peace, dear Danis. You will always hold a special place in our hearts. With love, Cynthia and Mohamed
