There are some people in this world that are special and do not know it. They lead with love and kindness, always thinking of others. They live a life that is a true role model for others. I believe she was an angel on earth placed here by God to show us all the way to live. As Raquel told me more than 30 years ago, the only thing that matters is life and being thankful to be alive. She let nothing get her down and she overcame alot in her lifetime! She won. She lived a long life of 101 years , but it was still too short to us! We selfishly wanted her for many more years! Everyone loved Raquel and I believe she felt the love. There was not one person who met her that didn’t realize how wonderful she was. Raquel had a great sense of humor and could dish it out ! She was a soft and tough cookie simultaneously. Her wonderful family shared her with many of us who considered her a grandmother, family member and friend. She helped to raise my children while I worked, and was such an incredible influence on them. Raquel was a real woman of substance more precious than any Queen to so many of us. She will never be forgotten. She lives in all our hearts and minds. May she rest in heavenly peace.
