Obituary of Regina Palmieri

Beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Regina Palmieri, 92, passed away on August 2, 2024, surrounded by family. Born in Canoe, PA, and raised in Staten Island, Regina graduated from St. Rita's Elementary School and Curtis High School. She went on to become a seamstress with Maidenform, working alongside her sister, Catherine, for many years. Regina's passion for sewing led her to create clothes for her siblings, including her sister Val's work clothes, her sister Carmella's communion dress, and single-handedly decorated her daughter Susan's house in Delaware. Regina was a devoted wife and mother who cared for her husband during his illness, managed all household responsibilities, and raised their three children. She cherished Sunday dinners with her family and celebrated every holiday surrounded by loved ones. Regina hosted parties and holidays in the basement of her home in Castleton Corners, making it the go-to place for family gatherings. She also enjoyed traveling to Delaware every weekend with her daughter Susan and granddaughter Samantha. Regina had a love for bowling and was an active member of a bowling league. She enjoyed walking on the South Beach Boardwalk and listening to Connie Francis. Regina had a sweet tooth, with a particular fondness for ice cream. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph, sister Josephine, and brother Ross. Regina is survived by her children Joseph, Susan, and Lisa; four grandchildren, Samantha, Gabriella, Gemma, and Nieve; and one great-granddaughter, Emily Jean. She is also survived by her sisters Catherine DeCarlo, Valerina Gulotta, Theresa Terrana, Mamie Terrana, Antoinette Terrana, Carmella Modafferi, Concetta Dickman, and brother Joseph Terrana.
