Uncle Sam, I have so many cherished memories of you but perhaps my fondest was the ritual you and my father shared every Sunday. As the only two brothers among seven siblings there was a special and unique bond. Every Sunday, without fail you would come to our house. You would sit together, each with a single shot of whiskey and talk for hours. My Mom used to tell me that you were solving the problems of the world. I remember sitting beside you listening to a conversation that perhaps I was too young to understand, but what I did know is that it was filled with wisdom, laughter and brotherly love. Those moments were simple yet profound. I find comfort that you are all together again in heaven perhaps continuing your timeless conversations. Until we meet again, keep singing and dancing for death is not an end, but a to be continued... Love you to the moon, Your niece Linda
