Obituary of Florence B. Rolland

In Loving Memory of Florence Rolland

3/5/1955 – 12/2/2024

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Florence Rolland, aged 69, on 12/2/2024. A devoted mother, loving wife, and cherished friend, Florence left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Born in the Bronx, Florence dedicated her life to nurturing and loving her family. She raised her four sons with unwavering strength, kindness, and wisdom, instilling in them the values of resilience, compassion, and hard work.

Florence was the beloved wife of the late David Rolland, who passed away in 2016. Their love was a testament to the beauty of partnership, and together, they built a family rooted in love and togetherness.

She had a remarkable ability to bring light and warmth to every room she entered. Her generosity, sense of humor, and boundless love will be deeply missed but forever treasured.

Florence is survived by her four sons, Jamal, Kareem, Hakeem and Rashid, their spouses, and her grandchildren, who will continue to honor her memory by living lives guided by her example.

A viewing will take place from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, followed by a celebration of Florence’s life on December 15, 2024, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Matthew’s Funeral Home. Family and friends are warmly invited to join us in remembering and honoring her incredible life.

Rest in peace, Ma. You are deeply loved and will be forever missed.
