Obituary of David J. Bulatowicz

David Bulatowicz, 44, was born and raised in Staten Island, NY. He was predeceased by his devoted parents, AnnMarie and David Bulatowicz. He is survived by his loving aunts, Renee, Laurel, and Joann, and his uncle Joey. He will be deeply missed by his cherished cousins, beloved nieces and nephews—who adored their Uncle Dave—and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Dave studied architecture at the College of Staten Island and later at the New York Institute of Technology, where he was proud to be a re-founding father of the Eta Chi Phi Chapter of the Alpha Chi Rho Fraternity. Years later, he continued his education by studying biology at Nassau Community College, which led to his bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology from the College of Staten Island. He went on to work at Richmond University Medical Center as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist, where he loved working with his lab family and sharing his commitment to helping others.

He had a home in Pennsylvania, where he loved spending time. His infectious laugh and smile were always on display, especially on his Facebook page, where he kept everyone laughing with his posts. He enjoyed sharing his love of history with friends and family. Dave loved traveling to historic locations such as Peddler’s Village and the Smithville Inn, where he started a tradition of visiting during the holidays with his mother, a tradition he later continued with his cousins. He enjoyed making lasagna with his cousins and going on ghost tours with them. David was a friend to all, and everyone truly loved spending time with him, no matter what they were doing.

Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 2508 Victory Blvd. on Saturday, 1/18/2025, departing at 10:30 AM. Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Holy Family Church at 11:00 AM. A private cremation will follow. Family and friends may visit Friday, 1/17/2025, from 4:00 to 9:00 PM.
