Bernard, Christie, Jason, Marguerite and the entire Del Rey, Tanzi & Gavin family - words cannot express the heartbreak I feel over this loss. Bernard was such a wonderful, vibrant, caring man, employer, mentor and friend. I will cherish the years I worked for him, learning so much and truly forming a bond with him, all our conworkers and his family. Bernard always made everyone feel as if we were family and proof of that are the long term connections and friendships that have spanned decades. He touched so many lives and was such a special person to know. I’ll miss his smiling face and the bear hugs I always got when I came to visit. My heartfelt condolences go out to the entire family and the firm. He was one of a kind and will truly be missed.

I have been going to Bernard for my taxes for years, when I heard of his passing, I like so many was shocked and saddened. Bernard was a professional, a doer, a fountain of good information but most importantly I considered him a friend. He has truly left a positive mark in many lives.

Bernard was more than an employer to me. He was a great friend who helped everyone he knew. I so enjoyed working with him on the golf tournament in memory of Pat that we did with the Rotary each year. He loved Marguerite, his children and his grandchildren with a very special and all-encompassing love that will always be in their heats. And he loved and cared for his employees as if they were family. We had many disagreements over grammar, spelling and commas but, in the end, he always let me win. Bernard, the final words from me and from Walter can only be - it is never goodbye, it is till we meet again.

I was one of Bernard's clients. Very shocked and sad to hear of his passing.On the business side he was a very good, very fair, professional. We would always have time to speak of personal matters when business was done, we had quite a few things in common.We actually spoke of golfing together at some point this year.
