Obituary of Joseph A. Lamberti, Sr.

Joseph A. Lamberti, Sr., age 78, of Port Richmond, passed away peacefully on June 22, 2018, at Eger Nursing Home. He was the beloved husband of the late Catherine (nee Gallucci) (2009); loving mother of Marie Cataldo and her husband, Joseph, Elizabeth McDermott and her husband, William, and Joseph A. Lamberti, Jr., and his wife, Nicole; cherished grandfather of Jamie and Billy McDermott, Gina Marie and Nicole Cataldo, Joseph III and Sophia Lamberti; dear brother of Ralph Lamberti and his wife, Susan, and James Lamberti. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Joseph was born and raised in West Brighton. He attended McKee High School. For approximately thirty years he was employed as a Laborer with the New York City DEP. Some of his hobbies included gardening and crabbing. He took extreme pride in his home garden where he grew fresh vegetables. Joseph also enjoyed trips to Atlantic City. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family. Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Monday, departing at 9:15 am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Roch's R.C. Church at 10 am. Interment will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery. Family and friends will be received on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 10:00 pm.
