Obituary of Josephine E. Fusco

Josephine Evelyn Fusco, 87, was born and raised on Staten Island. She passed away in her home on August 13, 2018. Josephine was married to the late Vincent ("Sonny") Fusco for 39 years. She is survived by three children: her sons, Mark Anthony and Vincent A., Jr. (Lisa Motsis), and one daughter, Jo Ellen Fusco (Michele B. Kaufman). Josephine loved watching the New York Yankees and was a great cook. She had a big heart, supporting children's and veteran's charities. She was a graduate of Curtis High School and was the first person to get a 100% on the Bookkeeping Regents. Josephine always had a knack for numbers and she worked as a Bookkeeper at Household Finance and the Manhattan Oil Company. Later in her life (into her 70's), she worked in the Nursing Office and Medical Records Department of Staten Island University Hospital. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations in Josephine's memory be made to the Lewy Body Dementia Association (912 Killian Hill Road, S.W., Lilburn, GA 30047). www.lbda.org Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Thursday, departing at 10 am. Funeral Mass to be celebrated at St. Clare's R. C. Church at 11 am. Interment to follow in St. Peter's Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to visit on Wednesday from 2:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm.
