Obituary of Mavanal M. Abraham

Mavanal M. Abraham, age 86, of Willowbrook, formerly of Kerala, India, passed away peacefully on September 19, 2018, at Addeo House Hospice. He was the beloved husband of Kunjunjamma for 60 years, loving father of Mathews Abraham (Neena Mathews), Nancy Job (John Job), and Titus Abraham (Teena Abraham); devoted grandfather of Josh Job (Jennifer Job), Rachel Mathews, Jeremy Job, Alana Abraham, Ava Abraham, and Alexa Abraham; dear brother of Mathai George. Mr. Abraham was born in Kerala, India in 1931, and emigrated to the United States in 1987, settling first in Rockland, NY, and then relocating to Staten Island in 2005. He was employed in India as a Supply Store Supervisor for 40 years for the Indian Railway, and then he worked for ADH Health Pharmaceutical Company as a Data Entry Clerk. Mavanal enjoyed reading and traveling, but most important, he loved spending time with his family. Visiting at the Marthoma Church (134 Faber Street, Staten Island, NY) on Friday from 5:00 to 9:00 pm. Funeral Service at Marthoma Church on Saturday at 9 am, with burial to follow at Moravian Cemetery (2205 Richmond Road, Staten Island, NY).
