Otis "Woody" Voils, age 77, of New Dorp, formerly of Meiers Corners, passed away at home on November 5, 2018. He was the beloved husband of Dianne (nee Ferger) for 56 years; loving father of Lisa and Cheryl; devoted father-in-law of Thomas; cherished grandfather of Krista, Christopher, Joseph, Alyssa, Nicholas and Karisa; loving great-grandfather of Ava, Leo, and Lucas; dear brother of Jewel.

Otis was born on Staten Island in 1941, and was raised in Meiers Corners. He graduated from Port Richmond High School and furthered in education at the College of Staten Island. He owned his own Civil Engineer and Land Surveying Company, Wohl & O'Mara. Some of his hobbies included golfing, Caribbean vacations, and fishing. Most of all he loved his Sunday dinners with the family and made homemade pasta.

Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Friday, departing at 10 am. Funeral Mass to be celebrated at Our Lady of Pity R.C. Church at 10:30 am. Interment to follow at Moravian Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to visit on Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 pm.
