Obituary of Karen M. Larsen

Karen Millicent Larsen, age 74, passed away on the morning of November 9th, 2018. She was the beloved wife of the late Richard Larsen; loving mother of Susan Giaccio, Scott, and Karl Larsen; dear sister to Marilyn Salfelder, Betsy Terjesen, and Merritt Tooker. Also survived by 11 adoring Grandchildren- Brooke, Margaret, Dana, Amy, Michael, Joseph, Kristian, Noah, Niklas, Karl (KJ), and Drew; and 1 Great Granddaughter, Angelina. Karen was born in Staten Island in 1944 and was a graduate of Curtis High School. She attended the College of Staten Island. She was employed for many years as the Business Director at the YMCA. Karen was a longtime Staten Island resident who retired to Barnegat, New Jersey. She proudly served both communities with distinction. She will be missed dearly by her family and friends. Funeral Service at the Matthew Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Thursday, 11/15 at 11 am. A private cremation will follow. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, 11/14, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm.
