Obituary of Philomena "Phyllis" DiNoia
Philomena "Phyllis" DiNoia (nee Martino), age 80, passed away peacefully on December 3, 2018. She was the beloved wife of the late John (2009); loving mother of John DiNoia (MaryAnn), Kelly Lenig, Anthony DiNoia (Donna), Nicholas DiNoia (Kristen); cherished grandmother of Danny, Megan, Thomas, John, Joseph, Jenna, and Peter; devoted great-grandmother of Christopher, Robert, Daniel, Gabrielle, and Eddie. She was predeceased by her parents and her two siblings.
Philomena was born on Staten Island in 1937 and raised Port Richmond and graduated from Port Richmond High School. In her earlier years she was a Secretary in Manhattan, and later on as a Waitress in the Kings Arms Diner on Forest Avenue. Mrs. DiNoia was a devout Christian and enjoyed rooting for the NY Yankees, played bingo and board games. Philomena also loved babysitting her grandchildren and was an animal lover.
Funeral Service at the Matthew Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Thursday at 11 am. Committal service will follow at Rosehill Crematory, Linden, NJ. Family and friends are invited to visit on Wednesday from 2:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm.
