Obituary of Ralph C. Damato

Ralph C. Damato, of Kissimmee Florida, passed away at home with family on December 1, 2018. He was born on July 18, 1925, to his parents Anna and Vincenzo Damato, on Staten Island, NY.

He was the beloved husband of the late Mary Theresa and were married for 57 years before her passing in 2007. The two were married on February 18, 1950. Loving father of Ralph F. Damato and his wife Rosemary, the late Anna Maria Damato, and Suzanne Gray and her husband Edward. Cherished grandfather of Jonathan Damato, AnnaMaria (Damato) Passante, Jeremy Rickman, Julius Damato, Ethan Rickman, Brandon Damato, and Anthony Mauriello. Devoted great-grandfather of Anthony Damato, Vincent Damato, Alyssa Passante, Rocco Damato, Nico Damato, Tyler Passante, and Lorenzo Damato. Dear brother of Rose, and was predeceased by his brothers Gerardo, John, Frank and his sisters Frances and Connie.

Ralph retired from the NYC Department of Sanitation. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion, Granito – Smith post and was a WWII Army Veteran.

Funeral departing from the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Monday, 12/10 at 9:45 AM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Adalbert's R.C. Church at 10:30 AM. Interment will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery. Family and friends may visit on Sunday from 1:00 to 5:00 PM.
