Obituary of Concetta "Tina" Spatola

Concetta "Tina" Spatola (nee Emilio), age 86, passed away on December 5, 2018. She was the devoted daughter of the late Louis and Nancy Emilio. She was the beloved wife of the late Ralph Spatola. She was the loving mother of the late Richard Spatola. He was married to wife Frances Spatola 1983, and gave Tina and Ralph two Granddaughters, Margarita and Frances. She was the cherished sister of Claire Hastings and the late Mary Laiken. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Before moving to Staten Island, Tina was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. She worked for Abraham & Strauss as a Sales Associate for over 25 years. She married the love of her life, Ralph Spatola and enjoyed a wonderful life together until his passing in 2009. They were blessed with a son, Richard who unfortunately passed in 2016. Tina was born on July 11, 1932 (7/11), so it is no surprise that she always enjoyed going on trips to Atlantic City. She will be remembered for her loving and caring signs of affection that she showed to those closest to her. She will be dearly missed by all those lives she touched. Funeral departing from the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Saturday, at 10:00 AM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Our Lady of Pity R.C. Church at 10:30 AM. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. Family and friends may visit on Friday from 6:00 to 9:00 PM.
