Obituary of Frank J. Santarpia
Frank Joseph Santarpia, 42, of Great Kills, died peacefully at 3:20 pm on
December 31, 2018 at the Addeo Hospice Residence, surrounded by his family.
He is the beloved husband of Nicole Scianna Santarpia, and the loving father
of Emma Jean, age 9, and Aria Rachel, age 5. He is the cherished son of
Frank and Jean-Marie Santarpia, brother of John Paul Santarpia and Johanna
Marie Santarpia, brother-in-law of Carolyn Gibbons Santarpia and Jessica and
Bobby Cresci, and son-in-law of Anna Scianna. Frank is the loving uncle of
Sadie Marie, Lyla Rose and Mackenzie.
Born in Brooklyn and raised in Staten Island, Frank graduated Monsignor
Farrell High School, Rutgers University and Brooklyn Law School. In 2001,
he was hired as an Assistant District Attorney in Kings County, eventually
becoming the Deputy Bureau Chief of the Domestic Violence unit. Frank loved
music, cooking, his job, and the New York Mets. He treasured simply hanging
out, dining out and traveling with family and friends.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Clare's Church at
12:15 pm on Friday, January 4th. Interment will follow in Resurrection
Cemetery. Family and friends will be received at the Matthew Funeral Home,
2508 Victory Boulevard, on Wednesday evening, January 2nd, from 6:00 to 9:00
pm, and Thursday, from 2:00 to 5:00 pm and 7:00 to 9:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations are requested for the Addeo Hospice Residence.
