Augie would drive me to the airport on occasion which is how I met him - through our mutual friend Brian. I was so impressed by this gentleman who had a gift for repartee as well as listening and offering good advice. He will be sorely missed.

Don't know what to say, my sincere and deepest sympathies for the loss of a great man that always made me smile on Caswell Avenue as I delivered his mail each and every day many moons ago. May you find comfort in knowing that his spirit will live in all of you each and every day. As he so loved the Sun may his glow from Heaven shine upon you at this time.
LOVE & PRAYERS, Lisa & Chris Sweeney

I knew Augie from the bagel store. He was a regular there like I am. Augie would talk to anyone about anything. We talked quite a bit after I had my knee replacement to compare war stories. He was a great guy and will be missed. Condolences to the family.

Augi was a great guy and great cop, I am glad to have known him. Funny story. I was taking my family to Hershey park and got off Hway. To get gas, Not familiar with area I asked the guy at the next pump for directions, without looking up I heard, “ take a Transit cop out of the subway , he gets lost. We both had a good laugh. Augie was a presence in my life for as long as I can remember. He was the King of Caswell Avenue and was always there to tell a story, make a joke or break the news (often gossip)! He had a wonderful spirit and seeing him always made my day a little bit better
