Obituary of Robert Thomas

Robert Thomas, age 69, of Staten Island, died Friday, January 11, 2019 at Autumn Lake Rehabilitation Facility in Berkeley Heights New Jersey, surrounded by his family. He was the devoted son of the late Elsie Bandomer and Kenneth Thomas and dear step-son of Noreco Thomas. Robert was the beloved husband of Sharon Davis; loving father of Kimberly Thomas-Mory, her husband Adam, and Robert John Thomas; fond step-father of Jennifer Dougherty and Samantha Attianese; cherished grandfather of Jackson, Michael and Brandon, whom he adored. He was the caring brother of Kenneth Thomas, his wife Kathy, and the late Amanda Thomas.

Robert was raised in Jersey City, NJ.  Years later he lived in Bayonne and Sayerville NJ. For the past 24 years he resided in Port Richmond, Staten Island, NY.  Robert was employed by UPS, and drove a bus for both Peter Pan and Academy bus companies. He loved to travel, which he did regularly with his wife Sharon. Robert played drums in a band, "Sal Anthony and the Doo Wop Shop". In addition, he loved to cook and was the life of the party!      

A memorial service will be conducted at Matthew Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 2508 Victory Blvd. on January 22, 2019 from 2:00 - 5:00 PM where family and friends will share memories and prayers.
