Obituary of Cosimo "Gus" A. Maiorana

Cosimo "Gus" A. Maiorana, age 88, passed away on January 19, 2018 at Silver Lake Nursing Home. He was the beloved husband of the late Margaret; loving father of Anthony Maiorana, Frances Spatola, Cosimo A. Maiorana, Jr. (Theresa), Paul Maiorana, and the late Lydia Ferraro; cherished grandfather of ten; devoted great-grandfather of five. Gus was predeceased by eight siblings. Cosimo was born in Brooklyn in 1930 and raised there. He graduated from the Boys High School. He proudly served in the U.S. Army for two years and worked for many years as a Chef. He owned the former Gus' Italian Restaurant. Gus was an avid Yankees fan and Hummel collector. Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at Our Lady of Pity. R.C. Church on Wednesday at 9:30 am. Interment to follow in Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton, NY.
