Obituary of Diana H. Palma

Diana H. Palma (nee Finales), age 84, passed away peacefully on March 3, 2019, at Riverview Medical Center, Redbank, NJ. She was the beloved wife of the late Donato; loving mother of Denise Palma-Geary and her husband, Frank, and the late Frank Palma; cherished grandmother of Christina Guarnieri and her husband, Anthony, Diana Geary, and Danny Palma; devoted great-grandmother of Anthony, Cassandra, and Ariana Guarnieri; dear sister of Katherine Ribustelli, and Suzanna Friedlander and her husband, Larry, and Michael Sammarco and his wife, Diane. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Palma was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY and graduated from Clara Barton High School. She then went to cosmetology school. Diana worked for many years as a hair colorist. Later on she also worked as a cook in the Edward Markum School. Some of her hobbies included trips to Atlantic City, playing cards, baking and cooking. Rice pudding and greek pastries were her specialties!

Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Friday, 3/8, departing at 9:30 am. Funeral service to be celebrated at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church at 10 am. Interment will follow in Moravian Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to visit on Thursday, 3/7, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm.
