Obituary of Janet E. Noonan

Janet E. Noonan (nee Young), 65, passed away peacefully on April 8, 2019, at Staten Island University Hospital, South. She was the beloved wife of John Noonan for 24 years; loving mother of Lisa Enz and her husband, Dennis, Keith Wohl and his wife, Alison; cherished grandmother of Keirston and James Enz, and Elliot, Ian, and Jacob Wohl; devoted daughter of Valmai and the late Irving Young. Mrs. Noonan was born in Brooklyn, raised in Canarsie, and graduated from Canarsie High School. She furthered her education at Kingsborough College. She was employed for over 20 years with the Social Security Administration, as an Administrative Assistant. Some of her hobbies included riding motorcycles with her husband, traveling to her summer home in Grand Gorge, NY, participating in Rolling Thunder events. Most important, she loved spending her time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and enjoyed her dogs and cats. She also moonlighted as the family photographer. Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Friday, departing at 9:15 am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Anthony of Padua R.C. Church at 10 am. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. Family and friends will be received on Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm.
