Obituary of Joseph M. Coughlin
Joseph Michael Coughlin, age 25, passed away April 12th, 2019. He was the beloved son of Dennis and Gerri Coughlin and the loving older brother to Krista.
Joseph was the grandson to Michael and Betty Coughlin and Joseph and Joan McCormick. Joseph was the beloved nephew to his 13 aunts and uncles and loved by his 18 cousins.
Joseph was born and raised in Staten Island NY where he graduated Blessed Sacrament and Moore Catholic HS. He was currently residing in Ventnor City NJ, where he was attending Atlantic Cape Community College.
Joseph had a passion for sports which led him to be the star quarterback for the Moore Catholic HS Football Team. He was also an excellent Baseball Player at Moore and then went on to play in College for ACCC.
Joseph's True Passion was snowboarding with his Father and cousins, especially traveling out west. He also Loved Fishing with his grandfather and weekend softball with his many cousins.
Since moving to New Jersey Joseph found Peace in his life through Religion and a new found Love in American History.
Joseph will be remembered as a strong willed, caring young man with a Huge Heart. He will be sorely missed every day by everyone who truly knew him!!
Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home Inc., 2508 Victory Blvd. On Thursday, 4/18/19, departing at 9:45 AM. A Funeral Blessing will take place in Blessed Sacrament R.C. Church at 10:30 AM. Interment will follow in Ocean View Cemetery. Family and friends may visit on Tuesday, 4/16/19, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:30 to 9:00 PM and Wednesday, 4/17/19, from 5:00 to 9:00 PM.
