Thanx to all the people for sharing their sympathies with the family. It has been a tough year, but we feel the relief of not being alone through out grievance. We will always remember pappa John Knutsen for his teachings and his great sense of humor.

Thank you to all of my Dad and mines' family who have left such beautiful memories and condolences. I am Johns' oldest child and daughter. I miss my Dad so much, and grow more and more stunned each day at how fast years and lifetimes just go and fly by. I love you Daddy. I wish we had more time.

Our mothers were sisters and we were born nine days apart at the Norwegian Hospital , 4th Ave. in Brooklyn. Until age seventeen we never lived more than 10 blocks away so we went to the same school and our families visited each other often.I knew him more as a brother than a cousin .He was very good at baseball and an excellent bowler , outscoring me .I know no one who loved dogs more than Johnny and he talked to them , wanting to be a Dr. Doolittle .At 12 yrs of age we roomed together at a boarding school and we got along well , both of us homesick.I was drafted in the Army in 1954 , John in 1955 .We enjoyed trading our non-war stories .Shortly before moving to California , I was Best Man at his wedding ,1967 ,After meeting the bride Diana and meeting her family ,I was happy for him .I have regrets moving to CA ,not being closer to him and his family. Thank you Diana for your 52 years of marriage to John. I know how much he depended on you . God be with John's family .Let us love one another .
