Obituary of Gerard Chighine

Gerard Chighine, 61, of Bulls Head, passed away suddenly on April 24, 2019. He was the beloved husband of Karen Chighine, loving father of Bryan Chighine, and Kelly Chighine; dear brother of Marie Chighine. Gerard was predeceased by two brothers. Mr. Chighine was born and raised in Brooklyn, and was graduated from New Utrecht High School. He was employed as a foreman in the printing industry. Gerard was an avid sports fan, especially football. He was extremely handy and could build and fix anything. Above all, he was very dedicated to his children and enjoyed his pet dogs. In addition to flowers, the family would appreciate donations be made to the ASPCA or Sunshine Golden Retriever Rescue. Family and friends may visit at the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. Funeral Service at the funeral home on Sunday at 3:30 pm. Arrangements include private cremation.
