Obituary of Nepoleon T. Shroff

Nepoleon T. Shroff, 71, of Mariners Harbor, passed away peacefully on May 6, 2019. He was the beloved husband of the late Nila (2008); loving father of Hazel and Rupal Shroff; dear brother of Kiran Shroff (Doris); fond uncle of Clifford Shroff and Maxine Parente (Steven). Mr. Shroff was born in 1947, in the state of Gujurat, India. He emigrated to the United States in 1975, settling in Brooklyn, before relocating to Staten Island in 1987. Nepoleon worked for many years as a manager for the former Rockbottom Stores. He also was employed as a medical biller. Most recently he worked for the past 15 years as an Administrative Assistant for Advantage Care Physicians. Nepoleon enjoyed music and especially loved singing, especially with the praise and worship choir in his church. He was self taught with the piano. Nepoleon enjoyed traveling and recently enjoyed a tour through Europe. Most important, he was very generous with his family who loved spending time with them. He is described by his daughters as being a "kind, humble man," with a fun personality who loved telling jokes. Visitation at the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Friday, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. Religious service at the funeral home at 7:30 pm. Funeral departing from the funeral home on Saturday at 10 am, with interment to follow in Ocean View Cemetery.
