Uncle Dennis taught me a lesson of how to respond to a situation that's gone amiss when I was just about kindergarten age! This lesson is the earliest memory that I have of this sort. Uncle Dennis had taken my cousin Dennis Jr. and I for a walk near where they were living. I carries a glass bottle of soda with me on this outing. After a little while of walking we stopped for a rest, and I put my OPEN bottle of soda down on a large rock as I recall. Say about the size of a cubic yard. Well the surface of the rock was uneven, of course, and as I let go of the bottle it toppled over and soda quickly poured from it. I didn't move, thinking, "That's the end of my soda..." Uncle Dennis saw me in this moment, and he blurted out, "PICK IT UP!" Instantly I snatched the bottle and turned it upright, and saw that well more than half the soda remained for me to drink. I Never, EVER forgot that lesson! When things go awry, act promptly to put matters right again!!! And rest assured, I've put that lesson to very good use over the handful of decades that come and gone since. Thank You Uncle Dennis! Thank YOU Very, Very Much!!!!! Love, Jackie

Al and I always enjoyed coming over to your house to see you and Dennis. All I can say is Dennis was always the host with the most. There wasn’t anything he wouldn’t do for you while you were there and he was so much fun to be around. You will be in our thoughts and prayers. Love to you all.
