Obituary of Elizabeth C. Decker

Elizabeth C. Decker (nee Denker), 78, passed away peacefully on May 27, 2019, at Staten Island Care Center. She was the beloved mother of Alan Decker, Douglas Decker and his wife, Rita, and Holly Perry and her husband, Scott; cherished grandmother of James Ozborn, Jr., Alana Decker and her husband, Sidney Wong , and Heather Lynn Perry; devoted great-grandmother of Jolee and Johan Wong; dear sister of Hannah Paradise, and the late Ann Atlak. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Decker was born on Staten Island, raised in Chelsea and was graduated from Port Richmond High School. She was employed for many years as a clerical worker in the transportation industry, with companies such as Whelan Trucking Company and Brennan Transportation. Some of her hobbies included watching game shows, especially Jeopardy, doing crossword puzzles, and reading. Elizabeth was an avid Yankees fan and loved country music. She enjoyed spending time with her family and dining out. Visitation at the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Saturday, from 5:00 to 9:00 pm. Religious service will be held at 8:00 pm. Arrangements include private cremation.
