Obituary of Patrick Hanley

Patrick passed away on June 6, 2019 at his home. Patrick was a loving and devoted father, son, brother, grandson, uncle, and friend to many. Patrick touched the lives of many people and could turn dark moments bright with his smile and gregarious personality. Patrick was born on September 28, 1987 in Brooklyn to Kevin and Florence Hanley. Patrick was a standout athlete who excelled in football, a game he began playing competitively at the age of 4. At Monsignor Farrell High School, Patrick was a member of the Varsity football team before transferring to Port Richmond High School. Patrick was a proud union member belonging to New York City Carpenters Union Local 157 in Manhattan. Besides spending time with his children, Patrick enjoyed watching football, basketball, and boxing with his friends and family. Patrick is survived by his children Christa and Patrick, his parents Kevin and Florence, his siblings James and Florence, and his nephews and nieces Priscilla, Brendan, and Liam. Patrick will be joining his daughter Arissa Faith in Heaven. Family and friends may visit the Matthew Funeral Home Inc., 2508 Victory Blvd., on Sunday, June 9, 2019, from 2 to 4 P.M. and 7 to 9 P.M. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Pity Church, 1616 Richmond Ave., on Monday, June 10, 2019, at 9:30 A.M. Burial to follow at Green-Wood Cemetery, 500 25th St., Brooklyn, New York.
