Dad,
We all miss you so much. I’ve not taken well to this transition. On a positive note though; I became and uncle. I’m now Guncle-Mariano haha. I’m so happy to be back home in the states. Thank you for looking over all of us always especially during this critical time and the current health crisis. Thank you for being my guiding light and getting me home from China in one piece. I made a promise that I’d always be near the family and as soon as it required I came home. I’m here to stay and I will continue to do what I need to. Again, we all miss you so much. I am so angry about cancer. It hurt so much to watch you suffer. I hope your in peace now. I hope you know that I was always there as much as I could be. I know often times you were asleep. I hope you know I was there. As for the present moment. Happy New Year! Love you dad.

In the spirt and honor of which is a privilege to hold, I can only say that my life is dedicated to you. In your honor I will live to pass on your name in our family. Just like you I will continue to see with a whole world view perspective. Daddy always had a way to see himself and others with a consideration for the good. My relationship with my father was and will remain untenable. A proud daddy’s boy and committed son. I can’t give what I have now to have more time with you. It pains me deeply but it also moves me. As I continue to move into the next chapter you will always be my guiding light. Whenever I needed anything my father always put his family before himself. My father gave me a chance to earn the advanced education and life style to live with just cause and confidence in my successes.
