Obituary of Mufit A. Olmez
Mufit A. Olmez, 54, of St. George, passed away peacefully on August 18, 2019. He was the beloved partner of John Constantino for 21 years; loving son of the late Reise Olmez, devoted son-in-law of Frances Constantino and the late Joseph Constantino; dear brother-in-law of Joseph Constantino and his wife, Liz, and Jane Lauro and her husband, Harry; fond uncle of Joseph Lauro. Beloved "pet" father to Jax , Max, Smokey, Tiger, Shadow, and Baby.
Mr. Olmez was born and raised in Brooklyn and relocated to Staten Island in 1988. He was employed as a Stage Hand Carpenter for the Metropolitan Opera House for 18 years. Some of his hobbies included baking and trips to Atlantic City. Mufit had an exceptional vocabulary and was undefeated with "Words With Friends." He had hands of gold, who could build or fix anything. Mufit always had a smile on his face and was loved by all and was considered everyone's favorite cousin.

Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Wednesday, departing at 9:30 am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Patrick's R.C. Church, 11 am. Committal private at Rosehill Crematory. Family and friends may visit on Tuesday, from 2:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm.
