Obituary of Lovidico L. Tortora

Lovidico L. Tortora, age 77, of New Springville, passed away on October 1, 2017 at Staten Island University Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Patricia (nee Coulombe) for 55 years, loving father of John Andrew Tortora and his fiancé Michelle Valentino, and Ludwig Tortora and his wife Patricia; cherished grandfather of John Andrew Tortora, Jr., and his wife Tina, Joseph Tortora, Michael Tortora and Amanda Tortora; fond great-grandfather of Christian John Tortora and Anthony Michael Tortora; dear brother of John Tortora and his wife, Terry. Lovidico was born on May 7, 1940, in Brooklyn. He moved to Staten Island in 1987. He was employed for many years as a manager at Speedway Food Stores in Brooklyn. For the past four years he was a member of the Elks Club. He also enjoyed golfing, trips to Atlantic City. Most important, he enjoyed time with his family.
