Obituary of Edward Madigan

Edward Madigan, age 63, of Middletown, DE, formerly of Staten Island, NY, passed away on Wednesday, October 16, 2019, with his family by his side. Ed attended Curtis High School in Staten Island. He drove a truck for a private sanitation company and later on, owned and operated Bay Street Luncheonette, a place he used to frequent as a little boy. Ed enjoyed photography, basketball and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Ed was preceded in death by his brother, James Madigan; his parents, James and Rose Madigan; and his brother in law, Richard Grimaldi. Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Nadia Madigan; his children, Rorie Madigan and Edward Madigan (Olga); his siblings, Ione Grimaldi, Brian Madigan (Dawn) and Rosellen Gemino (Henry); his grandchildren Penelope Rose Madigan and Alexander Edward Madigan; his sister in law, Sis Madigan and other extended family. A Memorial Visitation will be held from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturday, October 26th at Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., 2508 Victory Blvd, Staten Island, New York, 10314, where friends may visit with the family. Following the memorial, friends and family are invited to Li Greci's Staaten, 697 Forest Ave, Staten Island, NY, 10310, from 2-5p to celebrate Ed's life.
