11/30: On this birthday I honor my dear friend Anne Merlino who passed on November 14th. I graduated from Curtis H.S. with her husband John. Annie & I began our friendship at my 25th reunion in 1991. She was such a Special Lady...kind, loving, funny, smart & beautiful. Annie, I am blessed to have known you & I will miss your smile...always.

Anne was a member of the SI Multiple Myeloma Support Group. She was a gentle, loving woman; we were privileged to know her and John. I will always remember when they invited us to a Johnny Mathis concert and shared their excitement of the show which we enjoyed so much. She also made the most delicious creme puffs we have ever had. She was a brave warrior and fought this dreadful disease with courage and the loving support of her devoted husband. Her great smile will be dearly remembered and we will miss her forever.
