Obituary of Andrew J. Budnik

Andrew J. Budnik, 30, of Annadale, passed away on December 21, 2019. He was the beloved son of Catherine Shannon and Stephen Budnik; dear brother of Thomas Budnik and his wife, Elizabeth; cherished nephew of John Shannon, Margaret Shannon, Elizabeth Shannon-Tortorella and her husband Glenn, and Ronnie Geiss; devoted uncle of Hailey Matias. He was also survived by several cousins. Mr. Budnik was born in Brooklyn and raised in Old Town, Staten Island. Andrew graduated from St. Peter's High School and attended Long Island University. He worked as a Surgical Technician with Coney Island Hospital. Some of his hobbies included fishing, boating, skiing, ice skating, and playing video games. Andrew was a person who thoroughly enjoyed outdoor activities. Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Saturday, departing at 11 am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Rosary R.C. Church at 11:45 am. Committal to follow in Rosehilll Crematory, Linden, NJ. Family and friends will be received on Saturday from 9:00 to 11:00 am.
