Obituary of Henry Sang
Henry Sang, 63, of Rosebank, passed away peacefully on January 17, 2020 surrounded by those who love him dearly. He was the soulmate of Cindy Aponte, loving father of Raven, Robyn, Robert, Roni, Rena, and Risa. The cherished grandfather of Vincent, Dylan, Jaivon, Ryan, Rhyes, Jaci, Rowan, Liam, and Jailei. He is also survived by his mother Mee, sister Mary, and brother Tim.
Henry was known to all who loved him as Steven. He was born at Saint Vincent's Hospital in Castleton and raised on Staten Island where he lived his entire life. Steven spent the majority of his time volunteering with the Richmond Community Emergency Response Team and served as the secretary for the Staten Island Club of the Deaf for well over 10 years where he was an activist for equality and advancements in the Deaf community. In his spare time he thoroughly enjoyed helping his friends and neighbors with his many extraordinary talents such as computer engineering and carpentry. Steven was a carefree child at heart, searching for Pokemon in the neighborhood with his family and always playing practical jokes. He also loved animals of all kinds and cherished his seven dogs dearly.
A memorial in his honor will be held at Matthew Funeral Home, 2508 Victory Boulevard, Staten Island, NY on Friday January 24, 2020 from 5pm-9pm.
