Obituary of Charles A. Matassa

Charles Matassa, age 81, passed away peacefully on February 10, 2020. He was the devoted son of the late Giuseppe and Salvatrice Matassa. He was the beloved husband of the late Lorraine Matassa (nee Rizzo) for 52 years. He was the loving father of Joseph "Jay" Matassa and his wife Francesca and Lori Morenzi and her husband Lee. He was the dear grandfather of Rocco, Gianna, Victoria and Isabell. He was the fond brother of Rose Lamberti, Josephine Comoletti and the late Joseph Matassa. He was the cherished brother-in-law of Sally Ann Brittain. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Friday, 2/14/2020, departing at 9:15 AM. Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Blessed Sacrament R.C. Church at 10:00 AM. Interment to follow in St. Peter's Cemetery. Family and friends may visit on Wednesday, 2/12/2020, from 6:00 to 9:00 PM and Thursday, 2/13/2020 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 7:00 to 9:00 PM.
