I knew her long ago and babysat her 3 boys. She was so nice and funny. I was there the night she was hit by a car on her way home and afterward I "mommy sat". She just rolled with it and kept such a positive outlook. I'm sure she'll be sorely missed. My deepest condolences on your loss of this lovely lady.

I was awake that night when she was hit by that car. I remember it like it was yesterday. The scream and the two bangs. I ran downstairs to see a woman laying in the street with a blanket over her. Not knowing it was my mother. I guess you didn't want me to get traumatized, because you sent me back upstairs.I am her youngest son Jeffrey. I took care of her then after her accident and I took care of her during her struggle with this cancer that eventually took her life.

My Aunt Angie Zavattieri was Chris' best friend. That's what Chris told me during our long telephone conversations after Angie passed away in 2016. Chris would always remind me of the wonderful Christmas she and Angie spent with my family when we lived in Queens. She was such a joy to be around.. I can still recall the giggles and silliness those two friends shared despite the hard times they both were living through. In those last years, Chris would keep me posted on all of the cats she and Jeffrey took care of. She had a heart of gold and I will miss her, Rest in Peace, dear lady. Nikki Ingianni
