Obituary of Jean C. Ringhoff

Jean C. Ringhoff (nee Burns), age 88, passed away on March 6, 2020. She was the beloved mother of George Ringhoff and his wife Linda, Jean Ringhoff and Mary Grieme and her husband John. She was the cherished gram of Vanessa and her husband Dave, Georgette and the late Raquel. She was the devoted great gram of Isabella, Ayden, Olivia and Jake. She was the dear sister of Mary Buttermark and her husband Lou and Rita McGrath and her late husband James. She was a loving friend of Shirley Fischer. Jean was a very active woman who enjoyed traveling to many different places. She looked forward to her cruise vacations, trips to Atlantic City and was an avid New York Mets fan. Jean was a very giving person who donated much of her time to the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation. She was always willing to help out and give back to her community. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Blvd., Staten Island, NY 10306 and Carmel Richmond Nursing Home, 88 Old Town Road, Staten Island, NY 10304. Funeral from Matthew Funeral Home, Inc. 2508 Victory Blvd., on Monday departing at 8:45AM . Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Clare's R.C. Church at 9:45AM. Interment to follow in Ocean View Cemetery. Family and friends may visit on Sunday, 3/8/2020, from 2:00 to 8:00PM.
