Obituary of Norma E. Santos

Norma E. Santos, age 75, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 22, 2020. She was beloved wife to husband Walter C Santos for an amazing 52 years (together 55 years); adoring mother to Sylvia C Santos-Mero, Walter X Santos and Norma Patricia ("Patty") Santos; beloved Grandmother to Luis ("Louie"), Christian, Walter ("Wally"), Jacob, Lukas, Jake and Soleila. Proud sister to Juanita, Chela, Marta, Mari, Sarita, Felix, Coco and Elisia. She was also survived by several nephews and nieces. Norma was born and raised in Guayaquil, Ecuador on April 07, 1945. While working as a beautician, she met the uncle to once of her young clients, Walter, who would then go on to be her devoted husband. Shortly after getting married in 1968, Norma and Walter moved to the United States in search of the American Dream. While raising their 3 children and building a life and family together, Norma continued working as a beautician where her passion for making people look and feel good, later turned into a second career, as a Home Care Assistant where she first cared for her beloved Grandson Jacob and shortly after his passing, sweet and beautiful Angelica, until she could no longer due to her Parkinsons'. Norma did everything with her heart! Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Friday, departing at 9:15 am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Roch's R.C. Church at 10:00 am. Interment to follow in St. Peter's Cemetery. Family and friends may visit on Thursday from 2:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 10:00 pm.
