Heaven has a new angel. For a while she was ours, forever giving, positive, caring and selfless. Our hope is that those hearts that are broken can turn tears to laughter as the uproarious memories Joyce has given us shine through...because anyone who knew her, knew she could light up a room. Aunt Joyce was in pain for much of this past year, but even as she digressed in her illness, she spent what energy she had not on herself, but on others.
With her infectious laughter, aunt Joyce could effortlessly put a smile on everyone’s face in any situation. She was fiercely loyal, endlessly loving, and always putting everyone else’s well being above her own.
Just visiting her house made me feel so lucky to be a part of her family. This feeling is familiar to everyone who walked through her door - she opened her arms without question.
Life is a little less bright, a little less fun without you. I will miss your love and laughter every day.

Our deepest sympathy goes out to the entire family. We have known Joyce and her family for over 40 years. We shared so many laughs, baseball trips and parties together. We love this family and are truly saddened. God bless all of you. May Joyce have eternal peace. You are loved by so many and will be truly missed.

I had the honor, privilege and pleasure of knowing Joyce, "Mrs. D'Espo" for many years. Our group of friends have all been very close and each friend's parents treated us all as if we were their own children. This was no different with Mr. and Mrs. D'Espo. We will miss that infectious smile, laugh and personality. You were always the life of the party! Thank you for the great memories! We will miss you dearly.
Love always,
Michael & Catherine Chieco

Dear Joyce,
Your epic battle for the last nine months has been inspirational - with your courage, bravery, strength and especially your continued humor!
I think of the many books we've read in book club with the strong and valiant heroine...but you are my hero!!!
You've been a giver all your life - to each and everyone of us.
Your gift of laughter, your time, your advice and your ability to turn an ordinary day into a great event. Your beautiful inside and out. Mike and the children and the grandchildren all reflect that beauty too!
Thank you for giving it all these last few months so we could have you longer.
Thank you for everything and we will miss you more than we can bear.

I only knew you Joyce for a short time thru our grandkids and baseball and basketball but I felt like we knew each other forever. So sorry you had to leave us so soon. I’ll never forget your laughter and smile. May you be at peace with the angels now. Love, Alma grandma to Gabe Lucca
