I was very saddened to learn about Allen’s recent passing. We were next door neighbors growing up in Brooklyn, and were good friends during our early teen years. I’ve uploaded a photo of Allen at my Bar Mitvah, which is exactly as I remember him, such a good guy , always with a smile on his face. From time to time when I’ve thought about the old hood over the course of many years, I would wonder what he was up to and how he was doing. Reading the comments here let me know that he was doing just fine, with a loving family and a full life. May his memory be a blessing.

It saddens me that I will no longer be able to hug you but brings me joy of the memories I have. You were telling me the story of you and Aunt Awilda. How she took your breath away and she was the love of your life. Now you are with your love flying high and getting all the big fish in the sky. I will love and miss you Uncle Allen. The love you gave us all was so pure. You will be forever missed. Love you always Priscilla and family.

This was a special visit Uncle Allen and Aunt Adele made to visit us in Charlottesville VA back in the summer of 2017. They brought us some special pieces to remind us of Nanny and Uncle Andrew. Now, they will remind us of him too. Sending so much love! Angela, Alex, Arya (& Rigley too)
