Obituary of Carlton E. Marcano

Carlton Estephan Marcano passed away at the age of 73 on December 4, 2020. He was born in the country of Trinidad and migrated to the U.S. in February of 1969. He was the son of Lionel Marcano and Molly Clovis. Carl was the husband of Rene Marcano and they recently celebrated 52 years of marriage. He retired in 2017 after working at Staten Island University Hospital for over 40 years. He leaves behind his wife Rene, daughter Natasha, son in law Nicholas, son Randy, daughter in law Kathryn and grandchildren Alyssa, Anastasia, Maxwell and Maya. Carl enjoyed going to Atlantic City and spending time with his family. A quiet man, he enjoyed sitting back and watching all the activities happening around him. He was known for his many comical one liners over the years, which his family will repeat for years to come in remembrance of him. Family and friends will be received for viewing Friday, December 11th, 2020 from 5:00 – 8:00 PM at Matthew Funeral Home, 2508 Victory Blvd in Staten Island, NY. Due to the Covid pandemic, visitors to the funeral home must wear a mask and the number of guests allowed in the funeral home will be limited. Please maintain social distancing and refrain from hugs and kisses.
